Music by Lindsey Stirling

Just because you’re a violinist doesn’t mean that you have to play classical music; just because you’re maybe shaped differently doesn’t mean you can’t be a dancer. I want to live my life in a way that boxes don’t exist and boundaries don’t have to be there. So I hope that people can see that through my music; it’s about being fresh, being innovative, and making it fun again. Because I lost my love of it for a little bit, and I wanted it back. I wanted to love it again.

It was Mimi who introduced me to this beautiful artist, a talented violinist and dancer. I found his world very beautiful, very vibrant (electric), very alive! I then show you other pieces that I liked, especially the staging is incredible, touching and symbolic. And did you see? The cover of his new album is decorated with flowers and butterflies, that’s everything I love!

Roundtable Rival

I saw this “Roundtable Rival” clip and I immediately fell in love with this artist, who puts it on stage wonderfully, in an authentic, very fiery way! Here it’s a music battle with bad cowboys! I loved immersing myself in this steampunk universe. The costumes are magnificent!!!

Lose you now (feat Mako)

I immediately loved this song from the first sound of the violin! And when I saw apparitions of butterflies, it touched my soul. This moved me a lot. The person we have lost now remains in our heart forever. The power of memories and love can give us incredible strength!

I’ll keep you in my life somehow
And even when the lights go down, down
I’m not gonna lose you now

Phantom of the Opera

I like the album The Phantom of the Opera which I wrote an article about here. So it’s no surprise that I wanted to see how she interprets the pieces in the Lindsey Stirling style!

Shatter Me (feat Lzzy Hale)

It was all the symbolism of the staging that captured my attention the most. I found it very beautiful to put Lindsey in a snowball: the snow symbolizes this ability to free ourselves from the things that keep us prisoner. And the fact that she is a ballerina makes me think of a music box. There is this tenderness and fragility in this clip that touched me, in addition to seeing butterflies appear in this clip.

Somebody shine a light
I’m frozen by the fear in me
Somebody make me feel alive
And shatter me
So cut me from the line
This is, spinning endlessly
Somebody make me feel alive
And shatter me
