The Whynote reusable notepad
I’ve been using the ideal notebook since 2018 and it perfectly meets all my expectations. I am still in love with this notebook for three reasons: It is economical: I no longer need to use small sheets of paper to write my notes and ideas that I throw away once they are used. Now I just erase! It works like a whiteboard. To find my way around the pages, I put pretty heart-shaped or cherry blossom-shaped paper clips on it and they act as bookmarks. It is practical because it accompanies me wherever I go. You can even detach the sheets if you don’t want to take the whole notebook.…

Be the captain of your life
Life is an adventure I really like this word “captain”, being the captain of your life, of your ship! I explained on my home page my journey and the reasons why I created this site “Treasures of Life”. Life is a wonderful adventure: navigating and discovering treasure maps and nuggets of happiness with the backdrop of loving yourself fully to be proud of your Personal History. I also mentioned my three main guidelines, those which are the foundations of my personality and which have allowed me to remain positive and to overcome difficulties: keep your child’s soul, keep your smile and cultivate gratitude. I hadn’t written an article on “being…

Free software and free culture
Our computers have been running the free GNU/Linux operating system for 6 years now. Have you heard of it? I discovered it thanks to my ex-Hacker. I was quickly seduced by this free culture. It’s amazing to see that there is a lot of software, free and on totally free systems, which are just as efficient as their windows versions, and which meet my needs perfectly. So when my ex-hacker offered to install this system for me one day, I immediately accepted. I had the following reasons in mind: I wanted to eradicate once and for all the unwanted intrusions of viruses and visual pollution. I didn’t like investing in…

Washable sanitary towels
That was five years ago, I had to count every euro and re-prioritise my spending (although I’ve never been a spendthrift as I’m not very consumer minded). My first thought was about disposable sanitary towels, as I had been feeling guilty for months about throwing away panty liners that were often only slightly stained at the beginning and end of my period. I thought it was a shame to have to throw them away, what a waste! So the idea of having to buy tons of sanitary towels for my daughters for their first period did not appeal to me at all. So naturally I looked for a solution to…

Cultivate Gratitude
Say thank you As children, we were instilled in the habit of saying thank you, it is a basic rule of politeness transmitted by our family. Saying thank you means making others understand that we are grateful for what we have received from them: a compliment, a service, a gift, etc. I’m going to talk to you about gratitude. This is different from a simple polite thank you. I discovered the word Gratitude in full awareness thanks to my practice of the 100 day challenge. This allowed me to see life differently because we thank people but we forget to be grateful for the things that life brings us. Although…

What orientation?
When I was a child, I wanted to be…. a beautiful person !I wanted to have the qualities of my parents, those of my brother and my sister. I idealized a few people and projected myself onto them, because I was convinced that I was uninteresting. I didn’t know what I wanted to do when I grew up. I didn’t like school, which I only attended because it was a compulsory course in order to find a “suitable” job other than working the land. This learning was not at all inspiring for me. Since I was little, I often heard my parents’ sermon: you had to work hard at school to…

The life path of Princess Little Pea
The meaning of my life Starting a family is very important to me. I always wanted to have a beautiful love story and a happy family. My plan was to fall in love with my sweetheart, love him forever, marry him, find in him a partner for life, have children together, grow up with them and then grow old surrounded by those I love, in simple and sober comfort. This is my dream, my motivation and my guide to touching and eternal moments, and a heart forever filled with dreams and love ! This is what I wish to live in my life, and this is the meaning I wish to…

Why write for yourself?
The beauty of your writing Writing has always fascinated me and I have gotten into the habit of applying myself when I write. At school, I loved looking at the writing of my little classmates, especially that of a left-handed Tahitian woman. This intrigued me a lot, I observed her for a long time: the way she positioned her notebook, held her pen, formed pretty little letters. I even tried writing with my left hand to try to “feel” what it feels like to be left-handed. Finding my signature was also something important for me, since it’s like a seal that you put on precious documents and as I’m a…

Treasure the inner child
Why treasure the child within you? 1 / Marvel at life! Do you remember things that fascinated or captivated you during your childhood? I always remember the great interest I had in little black ants when I was a child. I loved watching them and observing their well-organized and orderly life. This trait appeals to me because I like the order of things. I had much fun in disrupting that order in their daily lives. For example, I offered them sugar and honey to discover their preference and I can just imagine them believing it was a gift that fell from the sky. We must help them feast! They are…

What the photo says
We are used to talking about photography as an “art” with its aesthetics, with its rules, that only experienced artists can understand, apply, etc. I would like to talk to you about something completely different: what photography is for me and the way I found to practice it at my level. Photography, history and empathy Photos allow us to go back in time. They are windows that allow us to look into the past. This could be our past, that of strangers, or that of our loved ones. I really enjoyed looking through my parents’ photo album and my father’s military album. This allowed me to imagine their lives a…
